You have to actually go into your spell book under "General" and add it to your bar. The skill itself isn't worth too much, apart from the fact that it's a by-product of the "Skinning > Harvesting > Meat Carver" profession tree, which also buffs your finesse (i.e. gets you extras when you skin). The ultimate yield is nothing more than a [item=228959], which doesn't contain too much of anything interesting at this point in the expac.
