TheWoWDBI've noticed that this little guy changes colors from red to blue in certain situations. I'm not sure what it's based on. I'm guessing either the general lighting of the area or the time of day.
Anyone have any confirmation on this?

In the current MOP BETA, the pet journal has flavor text for most of the pets. Spirit of Summer's is as follows: "This little piece of summer smells of warm evenings and lightning storms. If you look closely, you might be able to make out a face."
This may be a clue as to what weather to use your pet in: Lightning. Right now listed as an "Elemental" type pet, it's one attack so far is "Burn".
There is a little fire elemental pet from the Midsummer Festival. However, it drops from Ahune - Scorched Stone.
