This race is insane. If I go fast enough to make the timer, I don't have enough control to make the tight turns, and if I try to race clean, I'm 3s behind the timer!
In particular, the first ring on the way back that's touching the water is so close you often get stuck in the water or hit the rocks.
Follow-up:
Maybe I went a bit too hard on the timing, because after failing to complete the course a couple dozen times, I was under gold by 3s the 2nd time I actually finished the it.

That long flat-to-downhill segment seems to really require carried speed from a prior [spell=372610] rather than just spamming [spell=372608].
