Update: I've figured it out (and feel dumb). When you're on an Alliance character and looking at your achievements, you'll see Collector's Edition: Seabraid Stallion and not the Horde variant. When you're logged on a Horde character, you'll only see this achievement. When looking at your achievements, you'll never see both.
Original question:
I seem to have trouble getting this achievement. I purchased the Collector's Edition. My Alliance char got the horse and corresponding achievement. My Horde character got the ravasaur, but not achievement...Anybody else experience this? Anybody have any suggested solutions?
Edit: tried a few different Horde chars; tried restarting WoW; etc.

Collector's Edition: Gilded Ravasaur is a Horde mount reward for purchasing the Collector's Edition of Battle for Azeroth expansion
