i can confirm as of right now you get credit from just interacting, you dont have to personally attack or kill the outrider to assist in the credit for the mount

Just so you are aware, it is different shadehounds. You can't jump on one, jump off, and then grab the same one again. I did that about 10 times on one shadehound, but it doesn't effect the total for the achievement.
@Easo those don't count now, possibly patched?
