Hyjal Hotfoot Reverse: Gold

To get gold here, you have to run a streamlined, near perfect run. Touch anything... tree, fireballs, ground... won't make gold time.
Even after watching the videos, I was struggling trying to figure out any bit to help make the time.

-What finally worked for me, was getting top speed (Surge spam) in the first area, and carry that speed into the lava fields.
-Spam Surge, or even a hair less to cross the lava field quickly but don't run out of gas at the far side
-Ascend up the cliff, and Surge spam again once over it.

Take a break if ya need to, deep breath, stretch, and come back.
The race resets automatically, reset yourself occasionally

As with other races the key is to spam Surge 3-4 times to gain initial speed and then glide downwards to pool some vigor, using Surge sparingly when you feel you're getting too slow. Optimally you should have around 3-4 orbs ready when entering the lava stretch at which point you'll be able to spam Surge/Ascent up to the goal. The rest is trial and error, as this race requires near perfect execution.
