The Jade Forest is a really good spot for farming this, but I suggest only circling the top half. Everything above Grookin Hill and The Arboretum. The phasing is all over the place further south, at least it was for me.

Harvesting wood on a Druid does not knock you out of travel form, and the unlock and progress is account wide. Farm all your wood on a Druid and unlock mounted harvesting for all chars! :D
In Kun Lai Summit, at the bottom left of the map there is a lake with sha and destroyed buildings. You can circle around the lake over and over, the 3 woods respawn very quickly :)
