Paragon of Argus

This achievement rewards the Lightbringer title. You too can become Uther.

Come by the hearth, young paladin, and let me tell you how and by what merits this title was won.

It began as essentially the last name for a hero unit in Warcraft II, marking the very first appearance of Uther Lightbringer (1995).

Even in those early years we had a glimpse of Uther's destiny. Born of a righteous mold, Uther was the first knight to be named a paladin. Chris Metzen pens in the Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness manual that, "... Uther Lightbringer learned first hand that faith alone would not defeat the terrible Horde." Metzen continues: "Thus, young Uther took up sword and shield and issued the call to the most pious amongst the Knights of Lordaeron. Many great Knights heeded Uther’s beckoning and joined the Order which became known as the Knights of the Silver Hand."

It is fitting that we should receive this title while on Argus, for it was none other than [npc=98250] himself who canonically gives Uther the title of Lightbringer. In Aaron Rosenberg’s Tides of Darkness (2007), we read:

"And I thank you, Uther the Lightbringer," Turalyon replied, and he saw the older Paladin's eyes widen at the new title. "For so shall you be known henceforth, in honor of the Holy Light you brought us this day."

Blizzard has expanded on the Lightbringer’s legacy over time, adding that:

The sobriquet “Lightbringer” is not softly won, nor softly maintained beyond death. The legend of noble Uther guides the Alliance years after his passing.

As evinced by the [item=52252], Uther not only knew [item=18359] but embodied it and inspired others to do the same.

Go forth, Lightbringer. Justice demands retribution!

Man i wish this achievement reward Flying on Argus too... it has the perfect criteria... Doing all Argus content, including the raid!
