You Are Now Prepared!

If you're completely and utterly lost like me, here's what you need to do to get started on this achievement.

The Assault Begins

You'll start with Archmage Khadgar in the Violet Citadel. If you're at least level 45, you should be able to get Uniting the Isles. When you're finished, return to [npc=120215] and get Assault on Broken Shore. It'll take you through a scenario. When you're done, you'll be standing on the Broken Shore.

Return to Archmage Khadgar in the Violet Citadel (again) and this time he should have The Hand of Fate (Alliance) or The Hand of Fate (Horde) which will take you back to Stormwind as Alliance, Orgrimmar as Horde. You'll do a bunch of quests in a scenario helping out at the Exodar, ending with Into the Night, which will end with you in Krokuun aboard the Vindicaar. This will complete the storyline [storyline=346].

Now you'll need to begin the storyline [storyline=345]. It'll be pretty linear, you'll get a series of quests in a row that you have to complete, which take you around Krokuun, but check the full storyline for the quests you're supposed to be doing. The last quest is A Moment of Respite.

Your next storyline is [storyline=348]. After you finish this chain (ending with An Offering of Light you'll now get The Burning Heart, which is the first quest in the [storyline=371] storyline. Finishing this storyline will give you the first part of this achievement, "The Assault Begins."

Dark Awakenings
To get this piece of the achievement, you'll need to finish the quest The Sigil of Awakening. The chain of quests getting you there is as follows:

Upon completion of The Sigil of Awakening, you'll receive credit for achievement progress, Dark Awakenings.

War of Light and Shadow
To complete this part of the achievement, there are multiple storylines you'll need to complete, culminating in the quest A Beacon in the Dark.

To begin with, you'll need to do the quest Where They Least Expect It. You should be able to get this from [npc=126408] aboard the Vindicaar.

When you've completed this, [npc=109255] will have the quest We Have a Problem for you. This is the intro quest for the storyline [storyline=367]. It ends with the quest Shadow of the Triumvirate.

After completing this storyline, you'll need to do the [storyline=368] storyline. The first quest in this chain is The Seat of the Triumvirate. You can get it from [npc=128735]. You will not need to complete the entire storyline. Getting to the quest A Beacon in the Dark should be sufficient to get you this achievement.
