I was consistently about two seconds off gold time on this race and didn't really see how I could improve my driving, though I don't doubt some people are managing it with the Pozzik engine. For me, switching up to the [item=232981] from the Undermine quartermaster was what made the difference. The very first try after the switch I beat the gold time by about 1.5 seconds, without really changing anything else.
It doesn't require much drifting so I don't think the tyres matter a whole lot, though fwiw I was on the default Tread-B-Gon. Turbo was the default Wildfuel, used at the very start of the race then again after the turn on the far side of the marina. Oh and the horn was Basic. Honk honk!
