this is the first time I've malded at a race in a very long time, why is the timer so tight on this one, but easily beatable by 5+ seconds on others?

My suggestion for this: Use your Vigor sparingly on the way down and lean into Skyward Ascent as much as possible on the way back up. I tried to use it twice on every big climb, and that seemed to make the difference. Good luck! :)
