World of Warcraft Midnight: Eclipse Revealed

Blizzard has gathered the latest World of Warcraft announcements from BlizzCon 2026 in one round-up. The next major content update for Midnight, Eclipse, brings players face-to-face with Xal'atath as she comes within reach of her ultimate objective: the Worldsoul.

Players must confront her directly to stop her from claiming victory. The events of Eclipse unfold in the worldcore and set the stage for a revelation and conflict that carry the Worldsoul Saga toward its final chapter in The Last Titan.

The Final Chapter Begins in The Last Titan

The Last Titan is more than a return to Northrend. Blizzard frames it as a reflection on generations of courage, sacrifice, and unforgettable deeds, from the Shifting Sands of Ahn'Qiraj to the Frozen Throne, the Worldbreaker, the Burning Legion, and the realms beyond life and death.

As Azeroth calls on its heroes one last time, this next chapter offers a glimpse of the challenges ahead. More is revealed early next year, after the events of Midnight: Eclipse.

Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom Now Live and Available for Purchase

For the first time in more than two decades, a new campaign has arrived in Warcraft III: Reforged. Forsaken Kingdom follows the fall of Lordaeron and its transformation into the Undercity, introducing new faces alongside familiar figures like Sylvanas. It is live now and playable on the show floor at BlizzCon.

The campaign begins in the ruins of Lordaeron and leads into the first days of World of Warcraft. Players follow the untold story of the Forsaken as Lordaeron's fallen wrest free of the Scourge, led by heroes such as Sylvanas Windrunner, establishing a foothold in the Undercity and making choices that echo into the era of World of Warcraft: Forever.

Forsaken Kingdom is available now on the Battle.net Shop, with options including the Forsaken Kingdom Combo and the limited-time Warcraft Forever Collection. The campaign includes a prologue, three story chapters, a neutral Forsaken Paladin hero unit, and new story content bridging the fall of Lordaeron with the rise of a new era.

World of Warcraft: Forever Announced

World of Warcraft: Forever launches November 4, with beta beginning Thursday, September 17. Built as a new permanent home alongside modern and Classic WoW, it invites past, current, and new players into a familiar yet fresh Azeroth where community comes first.

Set after the events of Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, players return to the original continents, adventure to level 60, and continue progressing through new stories and updates. A Deep Dive panel on Sunday, September 13 at 10:00 am PDT explores the philosophy, systems, and design choices behind the reimagined Azeroth.

Pre-Purchase World of Warcraft: Forever Upgrades

When World of Warcraft: Forever launches globally on November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST, access is included with a World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time. Optional upgrade editions are available to pre-purchase now on the Battle.net Shop, and the Skyborne Epic Pack or Warcraft Forever Collection grant beta access beginning September 17.

Panels and Q&A Recaps

During the What's Next panel, Senior Game Director Ion Hazzikostas, Lead Classic Designer Tim Jones, Lead Software Engineer Nora Mills, and Associate Production Director Clay Stone shared how World of Warcraft: Forever is taking shape, from new regions and dungeons to raids, systems, and the new playable Skyborne race.

For Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom, Senior Manager of the RTS/RPG Group and Project Lead Brad Chan presented the Last Days of Lordaeron Prologue Campaign, the Forsaken Kingdom Campaign, Definitive Edition Graphics, and the new Forsaken Paladin hero, answering what happened after Arthas returned.

Lead Content Designer Jake Miller and Associate Game Director Paul Kubit shared a first look at Midnight's Season 3, the story and features of Eclipse, and new adventures in between. A separate Deep Dive with Brad Chan, Art Director David Ok, and Design Director Sam Kim covered Forsaken Kingdom in more detail, and the Forever Deep Dive with Clay Stone, Josh Greenfield, Ana Resendez, and Kris Zierhut explored how the full new game is being shaped around moments that make the world feel alive.

A live Q&A with members of the World of Warcraft development team takes place Thursday, September 17 at 10:00 a.m. PDT on the official Warcraft Twitch and YouTube channels. Questions can be submitted on the World of Warcraft forums, and a VOD will be available after the stream.

Talebound and BlizzCon 2026 Housing Decor

Midnight's new game mode, Talebound, arrives with the Echoes of the Worldcore content update. Set in Red Hollow, it pulls players into the macabre tales of a mysterious Storyteller. Played alone or with friends, it features themed levels filled with enemies, bosses, puzzles, treasure, relics, and rewards.

Players who log in to World of Warcraft on any day from September 12 to 27 earn the BlizzCon 2026 Feat of Strength, rewarding the BlizzCon 2026 Housing Decor Door Mat. The item can only be used within Housing, which requires World of Warcraft: Midnight (sold separately) and a subscription or Game Time.
