The protector pieces have no recorded drop outside Kalimdor and its dungeons. In or outside Kalimdor. Protector is a type of military unit used by Night Elves and Tauren [npc=51515] [npc=75687] [npc=3797] [npc=34208] [npc=34204] [npc=34294] Protector can also refer to [url=http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Ancient_protector]Ancient protectors[/url] also found in Kalimdor. There's a total of ten protector pieces: Item level 48-54. Required level 43-49. Mail armor, cloak and shield. [transmog-set=256] [item=14789] [item=14796] [item=14792] [item=14793] [item=14794] [item=14788] Not part of the [transmog-set=256] [item=14790] [item=14795] [item=14797] part of [transmog-set=211] [item=14791] Currently the items required for the [transmog-set=256] are fairly valuable with two exceptions. The first exception being [item=14789] which is cheaper due to being interchangeable with [item=30255]. And the second exception being [item=14788] most likely due to a lack of interest for bracers, it should be noted though that the bracers are very much visible on the set unlike other sets where they are sometimes covered by the gloves. Also note the [item=14797] part of [transmog-set=211] which also is valuable due to belonging to another moderately popular transmog set. Due to the shared name, armor type, loot type and item level I feel it's appropriate to group together all protector items even if some doesn't belong in the transmog set.
