Keep in mind that the Beastmaster Daily Quests are BUGGED/BUGGY.
Bug: Currently you cannot open the cages to kill any of the 3 beasts. (The 3rd and last part of a Beastmaster Daily quest)I do not know if this has to do with the "grouping" requirement? But I'm thinking it does.
I can't even test to see if this is the case because this zone is pretty much abandoned in WoD and can't form a party.I hope this is fixed soon because anyone doing the grind for the Exalted rep are currently losing the daily opportunity to earn 200 extra Reputation, thus limiting to only 900 rep pts per day instead of 1100.

This is the daily quest you receive after fighting and defeating the Colossal Viceclaw in the fighting pit in Lions Landing. You do not have to have turned in the quest to capture it to receive the daily quest upon killing him, you just need to help kill him once someone has. As with other MoP quest mobs, you do not need to be in a group with the person who initially tags it to get credit for the kill, you just need to do your part.
You can only get one daily quest a day from killing one of the three elite mobs, so there is no need to fight all three.
In my opinion, this is the easiest of the three elite mobs to fight. He does a fixate, moves slowly, and can be further slowed as well. As long as you stay out of melee range while it's fixating on you, you should be fine.
This one can be soloed (did it as retribution paladin).
- It can be slowed and will still continue to lose stacks of the damage reducing buff
- It can be stunned, frozen etc., but will most likely regain his 99% stacks. However, they did not seem to reduce his damage by 99% for me (?)
- Its melee hits for 60-95k on plate (no shield).
- Took me about 5-6 minutes to kill it with mostly ranged attacks while running in a circle. Thus, getting a group is most likely easier and fasterI was able to enter melee combat for a brief few seconds to hit him before I had to back off and heal. This was considerably easier when keeping Weakened Blows (10% reduced damage) up, I also had Glyph of Templar's Verdict for another 10%.
