TheWoWDBThis quest is the worst I have ever tried in my 7 years of WoW. The entire island is bugged!
Half the mobs starts evading for no reason, and the drop rate on top of that... is SO bad. I've killed about 15 cranes now (With about just as many of them that evaded and then resetted themselves -.-), and I have yet to even see a single drop. So after TRYING to kill about 30 of these cranes, I got ZERO feathers...
To start with, it seemed like they would only evade if they had to run to me, but I shortly after learned that this was false. They were resetting if they moved, didn't moved, channeled their Beak Stab, or didn't channel. Made no difference WHAT SO EVER.Nice to see Blizz tests their content properly before releasing it.
P.S.To make matters worse, the pandas are also getting aggro'ed even when they fight eachother, and guess what? They are ALSO evading. And even when they aren't, you CANNOT kill them! They just go to 1 hp and keep hitting you until you run far enough away to reset them!
I hate this quest. That island is cursed....
EDIT: So I FINALLY got one! ...after 25 more kills... yay. About 1/40 drop chance x 5. That's about 200 kills for a single daily quest.
I've been unlucky probably. But seriously? 5% drop chance? Thats an average of 20 kills for a single drop, times 5, thats about one hundred kills for a daily. That's just insane!

Description
Along with the snare, you get some advice on crane hunting: The greatest cranes of the Krasarang Wilds don't care about simple things like food. You need to play on the creatures' emotions if you want to draw them out of the jungle. There's plenty of cranes on the Cradle of Chi-ji and on the Narsong Spires, both to the west of here. Pluck some of those cranes' quills, then put them in a visible spot near the Crane Temple. Your quarry will come running to you.
