This is soloable if you have a way to heal yourself. I solo'd it yesterday as an ilvl 498 enh shaman. I got 1/2 health once using healing rain and conductivity. Only one of his attacks does significant dmg, which it seems he does after he pounces away. Weather that and you're golden. Remember not to be in a 'raid' group when you are working with the quest.
Was able to solo it as a protection warrior with just Second Wind for healing. So long as you can withstand her heavy attack (the red ring thing) it's pretty easy. You can interrupt it with any kind of stun - I expect I could have done it as Arms if I had loaded Shockwave.
