Hunting Lesson: Fledgling Kingfeather

Step 1: Find the damn path up the mountain.
Step 2: Kill all critters/placeholders.
Step 3: Die of old age and question your life choises.
Step 4: Profit.

• The [npc=97076] you must battle for this quest are found atop a mountain in Azsuna.
  The pathway up starts at /way Azsuna 39 32
• 
  
• These [npc=97076] share spawn points with [npc=97078] and all the other critters at the top area of the mountain.
  They do not appear to be specific to the time of the day.
  The respawn rate of these hatchlings appears to have been increased in patch 7.1.0.
• 
  
• [npc=115787] must be part of your team but does not have to enter battle at any point or be in a certain slot.
• 
  
• You will not get credit for only having your [npc=115787] out beside your character.
• 
  
• According to some, you may complete this quest while in a raid group.
• 
  
• You will still get quest credit if you capture a [npc=97076] instead of killing it.
• 
  
  

The path to get to the top of the mountain, where Fledgling Kingfeathers spawn, starts near Nor'danil Wellspring at 39.1, 32.8. The Fledgling Kingfeather must be the primary pet in order to get credit for the quest. If you don't see any up, try killing the other pets in the area to help quicken their spawn.
