This guy was easy on a 252 prot paladin. I just stood in his face and punched him a lot.

He was very frustrating on a 246 marksman hunter.

You can only interrupt every 2nd or 3rd cast of his bolt attack. You can't interrupt his aoe. You can't avoid taking damage from his aoe. Self healing is very limited. I used a health pot, bandage, vers flask, weapon oil, whenever I could. Lust is only available every 4th pull or so. He melees from about 15 yards away. The only way to bandage is to frost trap him, and you still only get a couple ticks off because reasons. Pots are only available every 2nd pull or so. Frost traps to help my other cds come back was definitely helpful, but it's still a dps race.

General chat yielded no help, despite dozens of other people clearly running the quest. There don't seem to be any custom groups for it in the group finder.

I spent about 800g on repairs and another 200-300g buying some cheap gems and enchants to help out. The strategy is a combination of do it until your eyes bleed and pure RNG luck on procs. Or come back with another 10 or 15 ilevel.

I finally killed him and I just feel... anguish.

Description

This one presents a prickly problem indeed. Thornspeaker Edgath has made a name for himself by using his druidic powers not to preserve Azeroth, but to twist its strength both against his enemies and innocent bystanders alike. He has no regard for anything that is not a beast or growing in the ground. It is time we clip this thorn.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Prey: Dengzag, the Darkened Blaze (Nightmare)Level 90

Do you know why the Twilight's Blade call Dengzag the "Darkened Blaze?" It is because they are stupid, small-minded, and utterly bereft of imagination. What a silly name indeed. I, however, am not small-minded.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Prey: Thorn-Witch Liset (Nightmare)Level 90

Thorn-Witch Liset is a curse upon civilization and a blight upon the land itself. She twists the very trees and beasts, communing with the dark, evil things that live on the very edges of the natural realm. I despise the natural realm.

The storyline at a glance
