Where you hear it

spell_ma_revamp_frostbolt_impact_01.ogg is the revamped Frostbolt impact, with 'revamp' written right into the file name. The new version replaced the older impact during the Legion-era sound work. Crisp cracking ice gives it a cleaner, colder edge than the original. Frost mages cast Frostbolt more than any other spell, so the change was noticeable. It makes a cool, short notification.
