This new patch 4.3 shatter keeps up the tradition of allowing shatters of the epic enchanting mats to lesser components.

I agree with the assumption that the price on MC will rise, but not strictly because of this. The PTR currently has no Zandalari Heroic option. ZA and ZG have been moved in with the Cataclysm Heroics. That should reduce the large supply of Maelstroms coming from Valor Point farmers.except in 4.3 valor points can be farmed from the 3 new heroic dungeons instead, and the loot from those is also epic
