I'm a bit disappointed that all people can talk about here is how archaeology works and what all the artifacts are called. While that is important, something that's equally important is the STORY behind these artifacts (that's kinda the whole reason people become archaeologists irl).

Based on the flavor text of this artifact, the Gold-Inlaid Porcelain Funerary Figurine (Gold-Inlaid Porcelain Funerary Figurine), and the Apothecary Tins (Apothecary Tins), one can determine that the reason this "Yao Firmpaw" became a life-saving apothecary in the first place was because the love of his life, Lin, succumbed to a deadly fever. He wanted to make sure nobody ever had to experience the pain he felt, of watching a loved one die and being unable to do anything about it.
