Great Banquet of the Brew

As alternative to Banquet of the Brew, you can save yourself 2 Soy Sauce to max Master of the Brew at the expense of 50 Cabbages and Witchberries which is not that bad a deal if your farm is up and running. What is required however is that you level to only 554 with Giseng: if you follow up with 11x Jade Witch brew you end up at 576 instead of 575, and at 575 Jade Witch turns from orange to grey. From 576 to 600, you need to make this three times to max out: 3 Soy Sauce, 300 Cabbages & Witchberries.

Alternatively, if you do end up at 575 you can make this twice for 591, and then make the 10 man version twice: this costs 4 Soy Sauce and also 300 of each vegetable.

Note that after 8.0, crafting these Banquets no longer grant 5 skill points, they only grant a single point in cooking. This makes them not cost effective at all for crafting and it may be best to not craft them at all until Blizzard changes the mat cost or returns them to granting the correct amount of skill points.
