I used this 15 times after 5.2 became live and got zero new recipes learned. The 24 hour cd one gave me a new recipe though first try. Either I have awful luck or the previous comment is correct and this doesn't yield recipes.

The only reason to ever use this one is to get around the cooldown. If you have (say) 5 bolts of cloth and just want to make only one for the day, you are essentially exchanging three windwool bolts for three Spirits of Harmony. Better to go to your faction's city in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms and exchange one Spirit of Harmony for 20 Windwool Cloth (4 bolts). It saves you two Spirits, and leaves you with one additional bolt of cloth to boot.

As of 6.0.2 and for Warlords of Draenor: although one doesn't need to actually be in the Silken Fields to craft the regular version of Imperial Silk (which still has the daily cooldown), for whatever reason, one still DOES need to be in the Silken Fields to craft [item=82447] through Song of Harmony. :( Hopefully this is something Blizzard overlooked, and is planning on changing in the near future.

EDIT: It appears as though Blizzard has fixed this so Song of Harmony doesn't need to be performed in the Silken Fields anymore. Thanks MarkerITS. Whew!

If you have alts that have a farm in Halfhill, or even just one character with extra patience, I highly recommend planting Songbells in each farm with [item=95446] or [item=89233] and harvesting them after each day. If you have three characters that are revered (12 plots) or exalted (16 plots) with The Tillers, that's 36-48 guaranteed Mote of Harmony (3+ Spirit of Harmony) per day.

Think of it like farming guaranteed motes once a day, but it only takes you a few minutes per session to plant/harvest them as opposed to killing hundreds of mobs for chance-drops. With time, it adds up.

Silken Fields are located at coordinates 61, 60.

Using Tomtom, /way 61 60

This is a spawnpoint of a giant blue moth, Mothran, that could pop up because someone is on the quest "Mothran!", so just be on the lookout for it if you are making Imperial Silk.

To create one [item=82447] the Tailor can use the Materials-patterns Imperial Silk(550/600) or Song of Harmony(560/600).

The Requires: Silken Fields in those patterns is a zone requirement.
You need to be in the sub-zone Silken Fields of Valley of the Four Winds. The next Flightmaster is [npc=60231]

The pattern Imperial Silk creates the [item=92960], that always contain exactly one [item=82447] (and sometimes the companion [item=90902] or [item=90900])

If something is incorrect about what I said here, would someone please tell me what it is? The fact is that if you are only going to make one Imperial Silk in a day, you're better off trading ONE Spirit of Harmony for four bolts of cloth with a vendor than you are to use three Spirits to use 3 fewer cloths. What am I missing?
