TheWoWDBFolded Obsidium can be trained at level 425. Therefore, there's no more need to use expensive WotLK mats to get to 450. Just make these all the way from 425 to 455, you will need them all (and probably even more).

Plenty of BS recipes at level 440 to 500 requiring Folded Obsidium. Unfortunately this page does not have the "reagent for" tab. To create 1 Folded Obsidium, you need 4 Obsidium Ore.
