Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 1 reagent for one craft of Folded Obsidium cost 48 gold36 silver.
Break-even is 50 gold90 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 74 gold27 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 25 gold91 silver; the Auction House would keep 3 gold71 silver of a sale, leaving 22 gold19 silver. That is an estimated 45.9% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 14.3% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 3,992 units across 13 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
