Moonkin Hatchling

Features of the pet (from what I've seen so far):
- When idle he'll jump up and flap his wings.
- When idle he'll sometimes make a flower appear.
- When you do /dance while targeting him, he'll also dance.
- Makes a cute noise when you click him.
- As of 4.0.6 they can now fly! If you're using a flying mount.

For those who might be confused on the distinction of which pet is for which faction and how you can obtain these. This version Moonkin Hatchling is the Horde version of the pet. This one Moonkin Hatchling is the Alliance version. Be aware you CANNOT summon the Alliance version if you are Horde and vice versa though you will see them both listed in your Pet Journal.

These are pets purchased through the Blizzard Store. They are sold for $10 American however as of this posting they are on sale for $5. They, like all Blizzard Store pets, are received on the account(s) you selected during purchase and will appear in your in game mail once you log in. It doesn't matter which toon you log in to receive the pet as once opened and used, it will appear in all your toons Pet Journal.

Another thing to be aware of is the account wide status of this pet. They ARE account wide but this has a caveat. If you have an account that has ONLY Alliance on it and redeem the pet on that first account and you have a separate second account with Alliance AND Horde on it, your Alliance toons on that second account will see the Alliance version of the pet but your Horde WILL NOT see it on the second account. Also I have toons on only one realm. You will need to purchase AND redeem the pet on the second account that has the Horde toons in order to receive the pet through the in game mail. I learned this the hard way. If I HAD a Horde toon on the first account to begin with or on another realm on the first account, my other Horde toons on the other account would've had the pet. However it is a moot point as my first account was full with all Alliance toons.
