How it works

Each cast of Rupture costs 25 Energy. Casting it triggers a 1 sec global cooldown.

Rupture is built from 2 client effects, applied in this order:

  1. Effect 1 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 3. Its base value is 8 per tick. It applies the bleeding mechanic. It ticks every 2 sec, 3 times over the full 6 sec (24 base in total).
  2. Effect 2 is Dummy (effect type 3).

What it does

Rupture is a spell with an instant cast, a range of 5 yards and effects that last 6 sec. When cast it applies an aura with the bleeding mechanic every 2 sec. The client files the whole spell under the bleeding mechanic.

Generated from the SpellEffect, SpellMisc, SpellCooldowns and SpellRange records in the Wrath of the Lich King client, build 3.80.2.69874. Effects the client marks as internal hooks are left out.
