TheWoWDBWoW Forever Class Spell Changes
Class spells in the WoW Forever beta client against Classic Era: 1,614 changed, 204 new and 974 spell ids dropped across the nine classes.
Compared file by file: the WoW Forever beta client 1.60.1.70009 against the Classic Era client 1.15.9.69722. This is what the beta client ships today and it can change before launch.
How a spell is counted
A spell belongs to a class when the client lists it on one of that class's skill lines (Frost, Arms, Shadow Magic and the rest) in either build. Pet, mount and rune lines are left out.
A changed spell has at least one client field that differs: base points, a coefficient, an effect, the tooltip. A dropped spell is an id Classic Era ships that the beta client does not. That can mean a rank was folded into another spell, not that the ability is gone.
Across every spell in the client, not only class spells: 5,258 changed, 5,334 new and 4,867 dropped.
