The achievement is currently bugged. If you sit in a turret you get credit for any vehicles dying in the entire BG. So sit in a turret all fight is the way to go.

From what I can tell, you get 2 points of credit for the achievement when a demolisher is destroyed now instead of 1. Not sure how long it's been like this but that means that only 50 need to be destroyed now for the achievement.
