Yes, the egg is bugged.

TL;DR : TP out your tanks (mage port/HS/etc) and use a warlock to summon them back, they should be able to pick and throw egg to each other

What we understood about this bug
Either one or max two but mostly no members of your group will be able to pick the egg. You can click it, it will show the animation, the extra button will appear for 1 sec but you'll not pick the egg.
Seems like all members are bugged but randomly some members can be "unbugged" and can pick the egg and throw it to another "unbugged" player.

How to "unbug" a player ?
You have several options :

1) Reset the boss: Not efficient and most of the time no one will be "unbugged", plus it seems very random.

2) Reset the instance: It worked a bit, most of the time one or two members of the raid could take it but it's a pain to reset and clear the trash every time.

3) TP out/in the tanks: Need a warlock to do the TP but seems to be the best and only solution here. Tanks need to tp out from the raid after the trash cleared (HS or port) and be sum by raid group. We managed to have our 2 tanks "unbugged" and they could take the egg and throw it between them.

Additional notes
- If only one member can take the egg and cannot pass it to anyone else : you can still do it by doing the first 100% bar and wait + pray that this player will switch color when boss switches people's color
- The % bar will decrease if you take opposite color damage than the color of the % bar you're trying to do
- If you manage to complete 100% of one color, it will circle to 0 and start again the same color : it's fine, pass the egg to an opposite color member or wait for the egg holder to switch color
- If you are blue (for example) you will be able to take yellow damage and up the yellow % bar but the bar it will not count as "completed", you have to fill and complete the bar of YOUR color
- You can track the achievement ! The text will be red and turn white when prerequisites will be completed and then you can finally kill the boss
- How is it seriously possible that an achievement on the last released raid (only 2 boss raid btw) can still be this bugged nearly 6 WEEKS AFTER THE PATCH WAS RELEASED ! This is some next level clowning I was not prepared for.

Tank picks up EGG located at 42, 44 to the left of where the boss is
light tank hold egg to power up light on it then switch to void tank power up then achievement turns white

no to bad for this one. egg is very glitchy we had are tank just stand in light and void in intermission to finish it off

For those that are experiencing the bug like I was It looks like if you are on a mechano-hog, you will be able to click the egg while mounted, and the egg will go in the second seat. Allowing you to complete the achievement. Just don't use any abilities as you will dismount and the egg will drop and you might not be able to pick it up.

I didn't test it with other two seater mounts, but its possible those might work as well.
