I don't know how many of you will believe me, frankly I don't care. But I just discovered Netherwing Ledge without a flying mount. Though you do need a slow fall effect - I used a parachute cloak.

Basically, I went to around 59, 71 (Netherwing Pass) and basically the key (I think), is to try and stand jump right on the edge - facing Netherwing Ledge. I mounted up and ran off the edge and then popped my cloak as fast as I could then just fell to my death, discovering Netherwing Ledge on the way. Now, my level 39 paladin's discovered Shadowmoon Valley but I still need a summon to Skettis and few other places in Outland. =(
