We only got to try Beth'tilac as the last heroic before Raggy for about 2 hours like a month before the hotfix (9.9.). It seemed hard, but doable (our gear was decent). The difference to the fixed version is huge. We downed her in the 2nd try the day of the hotfix despite allowing her to eat one or two spiderlings.
Here's the outline of our fight:
P1
- In the 1st net phase, 2 DDs go up. In the following, only one goes up, unless you can afford two damage-wise. Of course, a tank and healer always go up too.
- Our MM hunter dealed with the small spiderlings mostly alone. He had a special spec with stuff like concussive barrage. Any mobile class with good ranged AE+slows is great for this task. Assign someone to support him if they're getting close.
- People targeted by the broodlings (orange beams) just run out of the group as far as they can by themselves.
- People fixated by drones also ran out of the group to avoid them spitting into the raid. Evasive skills that make the drone drop targets like feign death work well.
- Everyone who can should help taunting the spiders which come from upwards. They do much less damage on the ground.
P2
- Kill all small spiders before Beth arrives to the ground. Her eat-range is huge!
- Stack up at her back, tanks stand apart like 90°
- DPS, DPS, DPS. And heal, heal, heal. It's a race; pop ancient hysteria when she's at ~50% (your healers will need it), tanks should make sure that damage-reducing cooldowns are ready when she's got about 28 stacks.Enjoy!
this is for 10m. I neither know nor care about 25m :P

Sadly, Beth'tilac hasn't turned out a "second Halfus", considering its easy kill on a normal mode. This boss is a hardcore gear check. There are 3 main differences on a heroic mode: 1. Spinners (big yellow guys, coming from above) now channel a single-target stunning spell, that needs to be interrupted. 2. Drones (big red guys) now fixate on a random raid member, but deal much less damage. If it was one of the players, going up to the boss, they'll fixate another target. 3. Broodlings (small yellow guys) will chase one random member and [url=http:
I can't seem to figure out the dps required by each person (excluding healers and possibly tanks) to kill Beth'tilac on heroic mode during her burn phase. I am going to say that she is between 80-90% and you have 3 minutes to kill her before frenzy stacks reach 35+. That is just an estimate. If someone can do this math or already knows, I'd love to hear so I know what I should be trying to do dps wise.
