At the moment Honorable Kills count toward this achievement, whether or not you actually landed the killing blow -- the tootip (um... Achieve-tip? Achievement Text?) is misleading.
I hope Blizz changes it; so far all my toons have gotten this achievement their first time through a BG. Seems too easy, doesn't seem like we've actually, you know... achieved anything.
This is kinda disappointing though. I was expecting a; "Kill over 9.000 Gnomes" achievement. But hey, it's still beta. *hint for Blizz*
