Stokin' the Furnace - [Ignis the Furnace Master]

  • Remember You Don't Have an Eternity?, same idea, the need to stack buffs, flasks etc. will make this achievement more easier then bringing randoms to complete it.

  • Otherwise, as your gear levels improve, this becomes easier and easier.

  • As for raid comp goes, 1 will need to tank Ignis, 1 for the constructs that spawn and others as you see fit, but those would be the absolute minimum because the off tank holding the constructs will need to "drag" them into water so they aren't "fire" enraged (think lava elementals in OS)

  • 10 man harder then 25 man simply because of the raid buff stacking problem as you recall in You Don't Have an Eternity and the readily extra available offtanks if the main - offtank is Slag Pot'd - reminds you of Frost Blast from KT.

Very easy achievement to accomplish in 10 men with the recent nerf to Ignis's damage and health

Set up

Prot Warrior (adds) - me
Prot Paladin (Ignis)
Fury Warrior
Combat Rogue
Surv Hunter
Ele Shaman
Ehn Shaman
Frostfire Mage
Resto Shaman
Holy Paladin

Tank Ignis with him facing the water so the ground doesn't burn. Have all your melee and caster stack behind Ignis's back (the Hunter might need to back up a little but no big deal), all chain heals will go off (or glyph of holy light, prayer of mending, circle of healing, prayer of healing, wild growth etc will hit everything). Your group will not need to move ever except for your add tank, who once in a while just need to move the adds from the group and have the mage come over and frost nova 'em to make healing a little bit easy (ele shamans can aoe root as well). Adds are snarable and stunnable. I think the ele shaman helped chain heal a bit near the last couple flame jets but otherwise just kill him. Had around 20-30 seconds left. http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=64473 was at 4 stacks for the last 10% health I believe, but definitely never got to 5 stacks. We actually bloodlusted near the beginning because we thought the ele shaman cannot dps near the end with the stacking buff from Ignis, but I'm not sure if that was ever an issue. I also help dps Ignis whenever I can (I ended with around 1800ish dps,, which is probably inflated with me aoe adds with TC and shockwave).

We also found this easier to accomplish than kiting the adds into fire and blast it method (the normal way basically).

EDIT: They changed Ignis' encounter a little to make http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=64473 hits a bit stronger, but still completely zergable (did it again this way this week)
EDIT2: Added a bit info for make-ups a bit different from ours.
