There is only one mob in the area Oskiira the Vengeful that you could kill to see if it will evolve, but you can't get very far without it jumping off your head and buff is gone.
When he is on your head it gives 2 diff buffs:
1. Borrowed Thoughts: Damage sealt increased by 20%
2. Amorphic Cognitor: Host to a strange creature. Killing enemies may cause it to evolve. "Consume, interact, explore, EVOLVE!"
