Ashlei is very easy tamer to beat, even while having a lowbie pet in your team for leveling purposes or while doing An Awfully Big Adventure, because [npc=87947] doesn't have any abilities dealing damage. For the achievement you don't actually have to use the [npc=82464], it can just hang around in team without ever participating the battle.
All you need is [npc=64899] with
- [petability=115]
- [petability=647]
- [petability=334]
Lowbie requirements: None
The course of the battle:
- Start with [npc=64899] and drop [petability=334]. Four [petability=115]s will finish off [npc=87952] with ease.
- When [npc=87947] comes to play, swap to your lowbie (or [npc=82464], optional) and then instantly back to Dragonling.
- Cast [petability=647] which will land on [npc=87946] because Ashlei swaps pets. Spam again Breath three times which is enough because Bombing Run lands after the third Breath, effectively killing Tally.
- Do whatever you want to rough up poor defenseless [npc=87947] you big meanie!
As you can see, a third pet in your team isn't needed at all. Therefore there are probably tons of setups for beating Ashlei with two level 25 pets.Last tested to work in build: 19243

- lvl 1 pet or higher
Short version:
1 Round: Build Turret
2 Round: Metal Fist
3 Round: Metal Fist
4 Round: Build Turret
5 Round: Metal Fist -> Pixibell Dies
6 Round: Doodle comes out ->Repair
7/8 Round: (Repair's)
9 Round:Tally comes out ->Build Turret
10 Round: Metal Fist
11 Round:Metal Fist
12 Round: Tally dies -> Doodle comes back out
13 Round: Take out your low lvl petsDoodle wont do any dmg so let the lowlvl pets finish him off if you like.
If you take two level 1 pets with you ~ Both pets will gain 7 levels (level 8)
If you use Safari hat ~ Both pets will gain 8 levels (level 9)
If you only level 1 pet ~ it will gain 9 levels (level10)
If you use safari hat ~ it will gain 10 levels (level 11)Or if you want to take Elekk with you.
A pet battle friend recommended the Nether Faerie Dragon/Sprite Darter Hatchling for soloing. It works very nicely:
- Moonfire
- Arcane Blast x3 (Pixibelle faints)
- Life Exchange on Doodle
- Arcane Blast (Doodle swaps out)
- Moonfire
- Arcane Blast (finishes off Tally)
When Doodle comes back out, your two L1s take a swipe each, then Arcane Blast finishes the fight. With the Safari Hat and one each of the Pet Snacks stacked, your L1s become L11s easily. A single trainee goes from 1 to 15 (usually; rarely 14 instead). This enables them to survive the Arak and Talador fights pretty easily, and that gets them into the high teens with the buffs still running. Finish with Gargra, and at the very least you have a L20 pet, with time to spare on the snacks for wild battles around Southwind Cliffs.
