I'd recommend fielding something like the [npc=62246] against Bloom, as this snail is a critter, so takes less damage from Bloom's attacks, but also has an aquatic attack which is strong against Bloom.
You could also time your [petability=564] ability to dodge Bloom's [petability=400] damage, as you'll see it coming.
The Rapana Whelk is a great higher-level alternative to the Shimmershell Snail :)
