The hitbox for these things is gigantic. If you have a cleave like, say, a Frost Mage's [spell=30455] with Splitting Ice, you will pull them from much farther away than makes sense due to the hitbox being so large.

It's probably worth noting that these things don't like landing - if they're already in the air and you're melee, then you'll have to keep jiggling about to get them into melee range. It's a bit annoying...
