I don't really understand the point of placing an archaeology zone below these beasts. The worst thing is I'm an alliance who ran all the way here just for archaeology and now I'll have to die repeatedly if I want that zone excavated or live the rest of my WoD days with 3 archaeology zones instead of 4.

Actually they have a surprisingly low aggro radius, if you are on the very tip of melee range the sleeping ones won't aggro. I've clear those ruins twice already and the only time I died was when I ran straight over one of them and they one shot me.
