It is quite close to ground level, maybe 15 yards above ground. You need to run up one piece of grass but don't start going halfway up the hillside or anything.

Stand next to the flight master, and turn to face the hill. You are looking straight at the cave entrance. Can't miss it.
For those without coordinates, it is just south of the R in Roost on the Shadowmoon Valley map. It's up one level from the beach, behind one of the collections of huts and there are trees near the entrance.
