Instead of trying to dodge the Ascension, I just switched the order I fight them in with Ice Tomb. Once Firewing comes out and gets Sunlight and a heal off, the fight becomes a joke. It's worked 3 times in a row for me so far.

1. Ice tomb
2. Ice Barrier
3. Pass (Socks gets stunned)
4. Pounce (Monte comes in)
5. Pounce
6. Switch to Plushie to soak the Burrow
7. Pass
8. Pass
9. Swap to Biggles
10. Pounce
11. Pounce (Monte dies, Socks comes in)
12. Ice Tomb (Biggles 1st death)
13. Ice Barrier (Biggles 2nd death) Swap to Firewing
14. Pass (Socks gets stunned, Rikki comes in)
15. Sunlight
16. Healing Flame

This is where RNG comes in with Rikki's dodges. You should be perfectly fine though. Even without the flyer speed advantage, you're still faster.

18. Alpha Strike (Rikki dies in one of these Alpha strike rounds)
19. Alpha Strike
20. Healing Flame
21. Sunlight
22. Alpha Strike
23. Alpha Strike
24.+ Healing Flame (Socks will probably kill himself with Ascension or be killed in one of these rounds)

1. Mac Frog on Socks: swarm of flies, then tongue lash. heal as needed, but usually no need

2. Alpine Foxling on Monte: howl, then bite until dead

3. moth of choice on Rikki: moth dust when available. alpha strike

easy fight with this team

Elekk Plushie Achieve

After many different attempts using many of these strategies (about 30 tries), I finally altered one and it seems almost fool proof:

Frog pet with Tongue Lash, Swarm of Flies, Bubble
Moth pet with Alpha Strike, Cocoon Strike, Moth Dust
Elekk Plushie

1. Start with Frog, Swarm of Flies
2. Tongue lash for 3 turns until Socks dies
3. When he resurrects, refresh Swarm of Flies
4. When Monte comes out, use Tongue Lash once
5. Bubble
6. Tongue Lash until Frog dies (Monte should be almost dead)
7. Bring in Moth, Cocoon strike to kill (save moth dust)
8. Rikki will come in, use Moth dust (before he uses cute face)
9. Bring in Elekk Plushie to soak the rest of the Unholy Ascension buff (you could do this at any time in the fight, this is when I did it). I recently found out that the Elekk Plushie does not have to SURVIVE to get the achieve credit (would have been nice to know earlier as this is a good way to negate damage in these fights).
10. Once Unholy Ascension is off, kill away. You should be fine at this point.
