These mobs hit like little girls. They can be soloed as an average geared protection paladin (my avg. ilvl 224,9). They don't seem to drop anything special, about 1g cash each and some random gray vendor crap, but they give +15 reputation per kill to The Ashen Verdict, so if you got time to spare and don't have access to raid, this is one (really, really desperate) way to get reputation for Reputation reward rings.

Sometimes it is also possible to pull these so they aggro guards, so you don't have to dig through whole 480k hp by yourself. Guards seems to only taunt them off from you if you are Bubble'd and the mob gains enrage. You don't have to dps them the usual 30% to be able to loot or get reputation, so you can safely pull more once you get previous mobs taunted off from you and focus on them.

At least some sort of CC effects works on these, including Hammer of Justice, Holy Wrath, Avenger's Shield (daze effect) and Turn Evil, so it's fairly safe to say these mobs can also be kited with ranged classes without trouble.

Raid mob hitting for 2000+ is hitting like a little girl, whether you like it or not. It can be countered partially by using Seal of Light and judging light. Add on top all that CC and you can cast whatever heals you like. If you really can't solo this with prot paladin, even with help from guards, you are doing something really wrong. Obviously I'm talking about 10man normal, if that was unclear to someone.
