Wowhead claims we got the final medallion, but we never defeat her or claim her medallion.
Yes, they forgot. And don't care that she is stronger than other harvesters in lore, don't care that she( like the Countess) is not a negative character... Even without knowing that she will play an important role in 9.1, it is clear that she is an important character. So I advise you to play more carefully( or not to jump to conclusions)
