Cursor pack
World of Warcraft Cursors
65 HD cursors and 63 originals from the World of Warcraft client, packed for Windows (.cur and .ani) and Mac (PNG).
The gauntlet pointer, the sword over an enemy, the speech bubble over a quest giver: the cursors are some of the most recognisable art in the game. This pack takes them straight from the client files and turns them into cursors your computer can use.
The HD set comes from the modern client's 128 px cursor sheets, so every .cur carries sizes from 32 to 128 px and Windows picks the sharp one for your display scale. The classic set is the original 32 px art from 2004.

Each tile shows the cursor at 64 px on a dark well, the way it sits over the game world.

The World of Warcraft (TheWoWDB) scheme
The installer maps these cursors to Windows pointer roles. Roles not listed (text select, handwriting) keep the Windows default, because the game has no text cursor.

Install on Windows 11 and 10
- Download the cursor pack and unzip it (right-click the zip, Extract All).
- Open the windows folder, right-click install.inf and choose Install. Windows asks for permission because cursors live in the Windows folder; allow it.
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse > Additional mouse settings, then the Pointers tab.
- Pick the scheme named World of Warcraft (TheWoWDB) from the Scheme list and click Apply.
Or pick cursors one by one
- In the Pointers tab, click a role such as Normal Select, then Browse.
- Pick any .cur from windows\hd (sharp at every display scale) or windows\classic (the original 32 px set).
- Click Save As to keep your mix as its own scheme.
Install on macOS
- Download the cursor pack and unzip it. The mac folder holds every HD cursor as a 128 px PNG.
- macOS has no built-in setting for a custom arrow, so install a free cursor manager such as Mousecape (open source).
- In the cursor manager, create a new cape, drag point.png onto the Arrow cursor, and set the hotspot to the top-left pixel (0, 0). Add more roles the same way.
- Apply the cape. To go back, choose Reset in the cursor manager.
Without any extra app, System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Pointer lets you resize the system pointer and change its colours, but not swap in new art.
