Gordok Ogre Suit

Used in a tribute run to trick an ogre into beating up another ogre, making it possible to avoid a boss to achieve the full effectiveness of a tribute run.

Could anyone be more specific. How come one ogre is suppose to fight another one? What good does that bring except of entertainment? And does every party member need suit or only one? Thank you in advance!

For each named NPC you don't kill in DIre Maul, one more piece of loot will be present in the Gordok Tribute chest - http://www.wowhead.com/?object=179564 - (which appears after you kill King Gordok). The suit allows you to interact with Captain Kromcrush and spare his life, which will result in one more piece of loot in the tribute

The ogre tannen used to make the suit comes from the ogre tannin basket gaurded by one of the creeps in the instance. So you need a leatherworker with you to make to suit. Also when doing a tribute run you will need a frost oil potion a thorium widget. These are used to arm the ice trap that can trap one of the bosses in DM, allowing for more loots when the tribute run is completed.

Tailors make the suit. I am unsure if leatherworkers are also able to do so.

The ogre suit can be made by both leatherworkers and tailors, with the exact same materials.

Is this only usable inside Dire Maul?

This suit is usable anywhere. Except possibly in arenas, as it is technically a consumable.

Anyone knows if the suit will stay in my bag forever couse the one i got frome q i only used 1 time then it was gone but if i make it myself does it then stay forever?

ATTENTION: They break after you use them. Beware of buying them in the AH.

Thanks, those go on my servers auction house for about 20-40g so by telling me that they break you saved me some money...I was dumb enough to think they were reusable

Yeah I really wish bliz would get better about marking stuff that is single use as such.

You'd also think that they wouldn't make a suit a single use item. How exactly does a suit "break" after wearing it? If it's a magical (insert random item type here) that transforms you into something, then that makes sense; but a suit you put on...

The materials are now 4 bolts of runecloth,8 rugged leather,2 rune thread and ogre tannin.

FYI, this does [b][u]not[/u][/b] trick the other ogres in Dire Maul.

If you are doing a tribute run at 80, you do not need to get this suit. When leaving the hallway kromcrush is in, just hug the wall and he will not aggro.

Do NOT attempt to mount up with these, purchased a suit for 14 gold because i'm stupid like that, and attempted to mount up. The ogre Buff just dissappeared.

Have you ever seen an ogre on a mount though? ^.-

Interestingly enough, these persist if you mount on the ToC 5 man jousting before the first trio boss. Instead of sitting on the mount, they stand on them o.O

The TOC 5 "mounts" are not technically mounts. They follow the same rules as vehicles, and as such you can get in other vehicles as an ogre. Anything from various gun turrets to the tanks in Ulduar.

also on my priest when i levitate him he just stands on air. just thought id point it out cuz usually the levitates people kinda move a bit..

For best results, combine this with a [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=12820]Winterfall Firewater[/url]/[url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6662]Elixir of Giant Growth[/url] (these do not stack together) and a [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=43478]Giant Feast[/url] (stacks with either of the aforementioned buffs).

Not sure if the buff stays when you summon a mount that has vehicular properties, for example a [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44413]motorcycle[/url].

With the changes they made to the motorcycles and mammoth mounts I doubt it would work anymore (may work if you're a passenger though), but the argent tournament mounts don't cancel the suits effect. Haven't tested it with WG or Ulduar vehicle mounts/turrets but I'd assume the suit would work for those as well, since the rabbit costume from Noblegarden wasn't canceled while I manned a turret and rode along in a demolisher.

The Killer Rabbit is back. And this time it mans the Demolisher and a turret. Keep an ample supply of Holy Hand Grenades...

If you're a mage, you can get even BETTER results by combining the Ogre Suit and the Winterfall Firewater/Elixir of Giant Growth....and cast Mirror Image :)

Does it break on damage?

I find the name of these ogres kind of funny, as Gordo means Fat in Portuguese.

Gordo also means fat in Spanish.

Gordo also means fat in Mexican.

Not sure if trying to be funny or just stupid.

With this suit you can Hearthstone while sitting or lying down, looks pretty funny :P

you could also use the hearthstone while eating...

Just remember not to eat the Hearthstone.

Being as the ogre you turn into is wearing a loin cloth i doubt it lifts or supports much of anything :/

Since it's not listed here, it DOES NOT BREAK ON DAMAGE. Feel free to fight raid boss's as a mighty ogre army

I spent a mass amount of tim in dire maul north farming the insane title. I saved up all the Ogre Tannins and saved them in my bank. after getting the rest of the mats to go along with my 375 tannins, i did a 2 day event where we completed the For the Horde achievement, with each of the 40 people wearing a suit. Just stumbled on this poking around Wowhead and TOO AWESOME I have to just say so. This is why I appreciate folks who contribute their own silly parts of WoW to the rest of the world. :D

If you are farming dm for librams here is a tips... Clear all guards as usual but when u come to Captain Kromcrush talk with him ( with the suit on ofc) and he will start run, follow him and when he arrives to the middle of the second room he will become hostile and attack you again. Kill him and run to the entrance and wait for about a min.... Then the fun part begins... The adds Captain Kromcrush spawns will run through the whole instance pulling nearly everything. Kill and profit. I suggest you to have a strong class (pally, shaman etc.).

I once saw a guy wearing that and when he went on the mailbox he went through it, guess those flimsy horde mailboxes arn't strong enough to hold an ogre. Maybe next time I go on a raid to SW I'll steal one of their mailboxes...
