How to Get Dalaran Post
In our data, Dalaran Post is crafted by a recipe.
Sources come from the game files (collection vendor rows, quest and achievement rewards, journal loot, recipes, RenownRewards and HouseLevelRewardInfo text) and Blizzard's quest API. Auction House figures are the lowest listed price on each US connected realm in our latest scan, not sale prices.
How to Obtain
Dalaran Post has 1 source in the game data: recipes.
Craft or Buy Dalaran Post
Dalaran Post (Northrend Inscription, skill 1) makes Dalaran Post from 3 reagents. Not every reagent has a current listing, so no total is given.
| Reagent | Quantity | Lowest listed price | Subtotal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coldwind Lumber | 8 | no listing | |
| Cobalt Bar | 5 | 17 gold90 silver | 89 gold50 silver |
| Ink of the Sea | 3 | 6 gold37 silver | 19 gold11 silver |
Reagent prices are the lowest listed commodity price in our latest US scan; the decor’s own price is the lowest listing on one connected realm. Reagents and quantities come from the recipe spell in the game files.

In the Decor Catalog
Tags are the in-game Decor Catalog filters, read from the game files (DataTagXHouseDecorRecord, named by DataTagInfo and DataTagGroup). Model size is the bounding box of the game model, in yards, at the decor’s default scale.
Placing Dalaran Post
Placing Dalaran Post spends 1 of your yard decor budget. That budget is a pool of weight points, not a piece count, and it grows with the house: at house level 7 its 350 points hold 350 of this piece.
| House level | Yard decor budget | Copies of Dalaran Post |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 200 | 200 |
| 3 | 250 | 250 |
| 5 | 300 | 300 |
| 7 | 350 | 350 |
Yard budgets read from HouseLevelRewardInfo in the game files. Interior budgets are not stored there, so none is quoted.
