Sap

Tooltip

Incapacitates the target for up to 1 min. Must be stealthed. Only works on Humanoids, Beasts, Demons and Dragonkin that are not in combat. Any damage caused will revive the target. Only 1 target may be sapped at a time.

How it works

Each cast of Sap costs 35 Energy. Casting it triggers a 1 sec global cooldown. Its aura procs every time its trigger condition is met.

Sap is built from 2 client effects, applied in this order:

  1. Effect 1 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 12.
  2. Effect 2 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 87.

What it does

Sap is a spell with an instant cast, a range of 10 yards and effects that last 1 min. When cast it applies an aura. The client files the whole spell under the sapped mechanic.

Generated from the SpellEffect, SpellMisc, SpellCooldowns and SpellRange records in the MoP Classic client, build 5.5.4.70631. Effects the client marks as internal hooks are left out.
