TheWoWDBIf you're struggling with this because there are no objective markers, make sure you mount your slime directly. Don't mount by talking to the Monarch Gnoll. The third time I tried, I mounted the slime directly and all the totems & map markers popped. Could have been a coincidence, but worth trying.

Use the slime mount to begin, NOT the NPC option. I figured this out the hard way after trying 3 times and it wasn't working.
The purified slime is an elite that you can kill with the vehicle, and has a "drop" but you can't loot unless you get out of the vehicle and then the loot / mob re-phases so you don't get the loot anyway. Oroboros drop.
