If you're having trouble figuring out where to take your mammoth back to, it's just the original quest giver. There are no special spots to drop it off. Just run into the questgiver.

OK, it is easy to do, just remember where the questgiver is as per previous helpful comments. I was an idiot and didn't realise that I could fight the tarasek lizard thingies while staying mounted on the mammoth, so don't just click on them and watch the 'shake off' bar take its time, hit them lots lol :)
Oh My Gosh.This was driving me insane. On top of that, the arrow on the map is facing backwards.

Trying to kill me I can forgive, but attacking my Hideaway? Now it's personal. The djaradin are loading their mammoths with all the ingots they can bear to get them back to their precious Fyrakk. Hijack one and bring it back here, cargo and all.
