Sarathstra, Scourge of the North

you need to talk rokhan he will get the dragon for you down so you can attack him

For Horde characters, the pre-requisites to this quest involve doing the three wanted quests:

* Wanted - Dreadtalon http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?quest=12091
* Wanted - Gigantaur http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?quest=12090
* Wanted - Magister Keldonus http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?quest=12089

As of beta build 8820, this guy is fully snareable. It took time, but I soloed him as a Frost (14/50/0) Death Knight by simply kiting him to Agmar's Hammer (Alliance can kite him to their Wrathgate outpost or Star's Rest town) and running around the base in circles while slowly whittling his HP down with Icey Touch and Howling Blast. Not too hard to do, but it's definitely tedious.

Also, as the above poster mentioned, the guards don't assist unless they see you get hit (don't get hit, he hurts), but chances are there will always be a few players that will jump in to help you slay the big dragon.

EDIT: As of build 3.0.2, the NPC guards of Angmar's Hammer no longer assist you even if you are hit by Sarathastra while standing right next to them.

Well she's definitely soloable. I downed her as a lvl 76 10/57/0 demo lock in instance blues of my level (You can check my spec/gear if you want on the armory, Falanoria / Warsong). I wouldn't want to try any lower than that so kudos to those who did. Have a health stone up before going into battle and use Demon Armor.

Standard lock solo, just sic the void onto her, start off with demonic empowerment and tap a suffering off immediately to initiate threat. Dot up...I only used Immolate, CoA and Cor.

She hits hard so you'll be Funneling almost the entire time. There was enough time to Drain Life when needed from funneling...not a lot, but in little bursts, just to take the edge off the CD from creating health stones when you need 'em. Rinse and repeat.

Sometimes had to just funnel and drain for a while without dots to lower threat or alternatively you could just Soulshatter halfway through if you want to spend a shard, but with the new in-game aggro meter it's easy to see when you need to lower your threat.

Takes a while, but barring any crazy lag spikes, it's definitely doable.
